For the first time at the Medical Center, three calves were living with totally electric, wireless, permanent artificial hearts. One of the hearts was about 3/4s as large as previous versions. This marks the first time Hershey researchers have succesfully tested a smaller version of the electric heart. [Specific date is unknown.  Event occurred in February 1996.]
