Search the full-text of complete runs of three Hershey publications: Hershey Press (1909-1926), Hotel Hershey Highlights (1934-1951), and Hershey News (1953-1964).

All three are available and full-text searchable through our Collections database here. You can also browse issues from the collection through the links below.

Search hints

To search digitized documents such as newspapers on our database, select "Keywords + Attachment" from the dropdown menu on the collections search page and enter your search term(s).

You can also conduct an advanced search, where you can narrow by date. If you would like to narrow results to just the newspapers collection, select the "Format" field from the dropdown menu, and choose "Periodicals."

While all issues are full-text searchable, the condition of the original copies made electronic transcription impossible or inaccurate for some issues or sections. If you do not find results for your search, we recommend browsing the newspapers through the links below.

Hershey Press Newspaper

The Hershey Press newspaper was published from September 1909 through December 1926. Between September 1912 and June 1914, the title of the newspaper varied and was published as Hershey’s Weekly or Hershey’s The Progressive Weekly.

Highlights covers a time period during which no local newspapers were published, shedding light on fascinating portions of Hershey history such as the Great Depression and World War II.

Digitization of Hotel Hershey Highlights was supported by a grant from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission's Historical Archives and Records Care Grant, a program funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Hershey News Newspaper

Hershey News was published October 1953 through June 1964.
