Hershey Gardens plants 40 nut trees to establish a nut grove in the Gardens. Another 40 are planted in Spring 2012. Nut trees include Butternut, Black and Persian Walnut, American Chestnut, Pinenut, Persimmon, Heartnut, Shagbark and Shellbark Hickory, Pawpaw, Hican, White Oak, Hazelnut and Chinquapin.
