Do you like Hershey history? Do you like the Eagles? Check out “Tommy and Me!”Did you know the Philadelphia Eagles held their training camp in Hershey from 1957-1964? As a child, sports media icon Ray Didinger carried star receiver Tommy McDonald's helmet to and from the practice field. Didinger later wrote an autobiographic play "Tommy and Me" that recounts this seminal time in his life as he helps his life-long hero, Tommy McDonald, get into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. See "Tommy and Me" at Hershey Theatre August 18 - 20. Purchase your tickets to "Tommy and Me" here: https://bit.ly/3QjM5TP ... See MoreSee Less

This makes it an invaluable resource for learning about Hershey happenings during that time and how they relate to national events such as the Great Depression and World War II.Thanks to a grant from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, "Highlights" is now available to search online!Check out the clip from Good Day PA below to learn more about "Hotel Hershey Highlights," and visit HersheyArchives.org/Newspaper to search the issues. ... What a wonderful moment in world history. The “Candy Bomber” was a real hero, and he will be missed.Col. Gail Halvorsen, the “Candy Bomber,” brought moments of goodness to the people of Berlin following WWII by dropping tiny parachutes of candy for the children. His generosity made him a hero both at home and abroad. We’re honored to have known him. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/02/17/us/gail-halvorsen-obituary.html ... See MoreSee Less
